Exchange Point: Camp Kitaki (Rock Island, NE East Park Hwy and W Park Dr.)
Description: Leaving Rock Island runners will experience a crushed limestone and paved trail for less than a mile before reaching the West Lake Park’s gravel road. This road will end quickly and runners will want to take a right onto Kimberly Drive for a short distance, at the top of hill (between a graveyard and farmhouse) the road will turn south onto Allison Drive. Runners will continue south on Allison Dr. until they reach a T intersection at Maynard Rd. At the T runners will want to take a right for a short distance and take a left onto 322nd towards a classic Nebraska farmhouse. Once runners reach the grain bin they will turn left underneath the railroad tracks onto a dirt section of 322nd. The dirt road is guarded by large overhanging trees and is one of the best sections of the entire course. Runners will continue on 322nd over Church Rd until they reach exchange point 15.
