Citizens Class A Team Invites
The number of teams in the Market To Market Relay has been limited due to congestion in parking lots throughout the race. In 2008, competitive relay teams proved that they do not strain the race as bad as a standard team. This year we are trying out a new policy called the Citizens Class A division. This division will receive an automatic invitation to the first 20 teams that meet a minimum standard.
Minimum Standard: Minimum standard for an automatic invitation will be the AVERAGE team speed for all members. Average speed will be calculated by turning your “best race” time into 10K using the McMillan running calculator. Each participant’s 10K time will be added together and then divided by the number of participants.
Men's: Team average less than or equal to 38 minute 10k or equivalent performance. Proof for qualification is required for participant (All races submitted have to be from May 1st, 2008 or after)
Women's: Team average less than or equal to 43 minute 10k or equivalent performance. Proof for qualification is required for participant (All races submitted have to be from May 1st, 2008 or after)
Coed/Mixed: (minimum 3 members from each sex): Team average less than or equal to 40.5 minute 10k or equivalent performance. Proof for qualification is required for participant (All races submitted have to be from May 1st, 2008 or after)
